Loch Lomond Youth Hostel is an impressive country house set in parkland, with stunning views of Loch Lomond and hills to the east. The house retains many original features including a sweeping staircase with vast stained glass window and Ballroom. Ask for the haunted room, if you dare!

Rowerdennan is a lovely setting, right on the banks of the famous Loch Lomond. Relax and enjoy the magnificent views from the Hostel lounge. Laze on the beach, fish, or walk the West Highland Way, which passes close to the Hostel door. Nearby, you'll find Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and the National Nature Reserve. From Balmaha take a mail boat trip round the islands, or hire a boat. There is a ferry to Inverbeg, May to September. Ben Lomond 3,192ft, Scotland's most southerly Munro, is a fine walk hillwalk.
