Traveling To Loch Lomond By Road
The Loch is easy to get to by road, most people will be arriving from the South or Glasgow Airport.
From the Airport: Take the Greenock exit onto the M8, follow the signs for the Erskine Bridge, take the Dumbarton exit onto the A82 and follow the signs for the North. The road will take you through Dumbarton and onto the Alexandria bypass. At the next roundabout you have a choice, most tourists tend to head for Balloch which is really the last place you will be able to get to a supermarket before Oban or Fort William. If you are traveling further then I would recommend stopping off at Duck Bay as this area along with Luss offers some of the best viewpoints.
From the South: Follow the M6/A74 north until it meets the M8 then follow the directions above.
