   Getting To Loch Lomond

The Loch is easy to reach by Rail, Bus, Car or Air,

  • The local railway line stops at Balloch whereas the Main line stops at Dumbarton, Helensburgh, Arrochar and Ardlui.
  • Glasgow Aiport is 20 minutes away by Car or Taxis
  • Buses run regularly from Glasgow

Getting around when you get here is not so good however and to enjoy the area fully I would strongly recommend hiring a car. Public transport is limited and in winter the timetables are reduced. There is a bus stand in Balloch from which most local destinations can be reached. Below their is some links for travel information.
