Boturich is less than half an hour from the centre of Glasgow and about 20 minutes from Glasgow International Airport.
Built in 1832, on the site of the previous castle, Boturich Castle belonged to the Lennox and Buchanan families before the present owners took over. At this time, the novelist Sir Walter Scott visited Boturich to research the novel Rob Roy. In 1850, the Octagon Tower, was added and became the principal entrance to the castle.

All windows on the upper deck however can be opened to give the impression of being on an open deck and windows on the lower deck can be slid open to allow air to circulate freely.

The Upper deck with its flexible seating arrangements allows us to transform it into an altar, then once your ceremony is over and photographs have been taken it undergoes another transformation to make way for the meal.
